An exploration in texture.

During the late 80’s and early 90’s, African-Americans wanted to express themselves by embracing their naturally kinky, curly hair. We sought to have a maintained, professional and stylish look without the use of hot combs, perms and other potentially damaging styling techniques. Many women, in particular, were coming into a new spiritual awakening making changes inside and out. We were shedding old stereotypes of “nappy hair” and “good hair” vs. “bad hair”. I completely embraced this journey into the art of natural hair care. I took classes, participated in workshops and interned in a natural hair salon.

Today, I view myself as a spiritual coach to individuals who are ready for the process of embracing their natural hair. Combining my knowledge of natural hair care, fashion, and my extensive training in the spiritual arts (reiki, yoga, energy balancing, meditation), I can offer you a holistic spa experience at our new location at 6525 Woodward Avenue between Grand Boulevard and Milwaukee Avenue.

It's a pleasure to serve you.
